We need volunteers for gift wrapping at Bergners. Even if you can volunteer for an hour, we need your help. This is a great way to practice gift wrapping before going home and a break from the stresses of school. Sign up online!!

Bergner’s Community Day Sale

The Bergner’s Department store is hosting a Community Day Sale on November 14. Prior to this, we will be going to Bergner's to sell coupon booklets for $5 which customers can use on the day of the event. Habitat keeps every dollar from sales and if we sell enough, we will get an added bonus which makes this is a great fundraiser for our organization. Inside the booklet, there are 8 great coupons including one for $10 off a purchase of $10 or more. We have a great need for volunteers for in-store selling on Monday November 9 from 4-6 or 6-8; please register on the website(www.uiuchabitat.org). Also, if you would like to sell to any friends, relatives, or professors, see Dave after any general meeting or email him at schnitz1@illinois.edu (it would be greatly appreciated!) These coupons are valid at any Bergner’s, Boston, Carson Pirie Scott, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s, or Younkers Department stores which makes it ideal for a parent or relative.

Trick-or-Treat for "Change"

Trick-or-Treat for "Change" is an event where volunteers will trick-or-treat in the local communities asking for donations, and ultimately "change" (the money fundraised will help reduce substandard housing). Volunteers will meet at Newman Hall for check-in and gathering of materials, and then be assigned a trick-or-treating area.

TOTFC Day 1: Savoy. Friday, October 30th. 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM
TOTFC Day 2: Urbana. Saturday, October 31st (Halloween). 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM

-Costumes are welcomed! Drivers are needed.
-Sign up individually or as a group. Compete against your friends, other Greeks, or RSO’s! Prizes will be awarded to the individual and group that raise the most money!

Homecoming Tailgate!

The Homecoming tailgate will start at 8:00 am on Saturday, October 10^th before the football game. We will be tailgating in the lot across from the stadium, as close as possible to the corner of 1st and Kirby!! Bags games and food will be provided!!! Homecoming Parade!

The Homecoming Parade starts at 6 pm on October 9^th!!! There will be a check-in table located on the south quad (western side). Habiteers should meet there by 5:45 pm and the students working the table will be able to direct you all to our group’s designated spot in the parade lineup. (All the entries will be lining up on the grass on the south quad). Sign-ups for the parade will be online soon this week, so look out! Come and help us chuck candy next to our AWESOME float!! Homecoming Float

Homecoming is right around the corner, and this year we are building a shed for the Young family, which will then be presented on our float for the homecoming parade! We'll be building the shed and decorating it on site over the next two weeks. Check the website for dates. Contact Ben(brodrig8@uiuc.edu) or Katie(kmenich2@illinois.edu) with any questions.

Come out on October 7th to support Habitat for Humanity at Noodles & Company. Habitat gets 10% of all profits between 4PM and 9PM, so bring your friends to enjoy some delicious food for a good cause! You will also have a chance to hang out with board members and get to know them a little better.

Rockin’ for Rooftops

On Saturday October 3^rd, doors will open at 6:00pm at Canopy Club for “Rockin’ for Rooftops,” a concert fundraiser featuring The Curses, Stan McConnell and Snowsera.
