Congratulations to the UIUC Habitat for Humanity for being selected as one of ten campus chapters across the nation to recieve a $10,000 matching grant from State Farm. The UIUC Chapter was chosen for this large award based on our advocacy plans, our organizational structure, our relationship with our covenant affiliate, and our ability to raise $10,000 in a school year. Our chapter will raise $10,000 over the course of this year, and dedicate it to the sponsorship of our 9th student built home, which we will break ground on in Fall '08. State Farm will then match our donation with a $10,000 donation of their own to the house. Thank you State Farm!
